The Everything Test

There are many different types of tests on the internet today. Personality tests, purity tests, stereotype tests, political tests. But now, there is one test to rule them all.

Traditionally, online tests would ask certain questions about your musical tastes or clothing for a stereotype, your experiences for a purity test, or deep questions for a personality test. We're turning that upside down - all the questions affect all the results, and we've got some innovative results too! Enjoy :-)

Personality
You are more logical than emotional, more concerned about self than concerned about others, more atheist than religious, more dependent than loner, more lazy than workaholic, more rebel than traditional, more artistic mind than engineering mind, more cynical than idealist, more follower than leader, and more introverted than extroverted.

As for specific personality traits, you are greedy (77%), romantic (71%), intellectual (67%).

Stereotypes
Old Geezer83%
College Student75%
Young Professional71%

Life Experience
Sex13%
Substances8%
Travel3%

Politics
Your political views would best be described as Socialist, whom you agree with around 61% of the time.
 Socioeconomic
Your attitude toward life best associates you with Working Class. You make more than 0% of those who have taken this test, and 88% less than the U.S. average.

If your life was a movie, it would be rated PG.
By the way, your hottness rank is 60%, hotter than 85% of other test takers.

valentines day

Feb. 15th, 2007 | 10:47 pm
location: home
mood: loved loved

James decided to organise a surprise for me which was very sweet of him to do!

I guessed that we were going to have a picnic somewhere though (since he asked me to bring a mat to sit on and a botlle of drink or two... :P). We met at Chatswood and he drove us to this nice quiet national park under the Roseville Bridge. It was very pretty and peaceful there *^.^* He brought everything else (including food) and I must say that I was touched by his romantic side. We exchanged our Valentines Day gifts there and I made him open mine first. He got:
  • a card (like duh!)
  • two pairs of boxers: a red playboy one and a black silk one
  • a box of Lindt chocolates
He seemed to like the boxers (I hope he really did coz I did!).

I recieved:
  • a card (hehe...)
  • a pair of torquise butterfly earrings from Tree of Life (made of sterling silver so it's okay for me to wear as long as I like anytime)
  • a packet of Lindt chocolate balls (we love our Lindt brand *^.^*)
It was really nice! I put them on instantly and we had our lunch near the river(?) under the shadow of a tree. We had dolmathes (a greek recepie where spiced rice is wrapped in grape vine leaves and dipped in oil) for entree, chicken and bread rolls with 2 kinds of salads for main, and a strawberry custard tart and a heart shaped cheese cake for desert. He seriously did put alot of effort that day (I was touched!).

While eating, we had some troubles with the ducks, crows, and seagulls because they were attracted by our food. They were mood breakers and I kept my eyes on them constantly so that they won't touch our food while eating (which is not a comfortable thing to do). After food, we lay down for a while relaxing and enjoying the day (it was a nice warm day with cool breeze) and then drove to his place to have some privacy of our own :P

Karen (his sister) was gone (she left with Rick to Adelade since he is studying his medicine degree there) so he moved some of his belongings to her room (now his room). The room was much more spacious than his so I finally understood why he wanted her to go so much! :P He even had a large stereo system (his room was bare of music before). His parents came back from work in the evening and we had dinner with them (I took Karen's seat and it felt rather weird). James was reluctant to let me leave probably because we managed to somehow fall asleep together and we were both fatigued and he had to drive me back home. If there was any regret that day was that I didn't leave early enough and made James drive me back when he was really tired *sigh*

long time no write

Feb. 12th, 2007 | 03:40 pm
location: home
mood: blah blah

Hmm... yes... writing... ^_^;;

So many things have happened since my last entry and as usual I managed to not update my journal (hey, it's called I really can't be stuffed and I was rather busy).

So here goes another brief/shortened versions of the days:

Tool Concert (Wed 24th Jan 07)
One word to describe this: FANTASTIC!
It was in Sydney Entertainment Centre and there were more than 11000 people enjoying the show that night. Michael Hoffman and I arrived there slightly later than we planned to (because we met up and had dinner together) and it took us a while to get in (every gate had a very long que). Our seating was pretty good (it could've been better but as I've said million times before to people who'd listen, the floor tix were sold out in 10mins and the seats were sold out in less than a day or two. So I was pretty much greatful for being there at all!). The concert didn't start till like about 9pm even though the ticket said it'll start 8pm on the dot, and there were no supporting acts which was pretty weird. At least that gave me some time to buy an awesome t-shirt from the stall. Bloody hell were they expensive! $45 per shirt. I was disappointed that I couldn't get 2! People were becoming restless: 6 maxican waves had come and gone around the stadium and there were countless clapping, wooting, and shouting for "tool". When the lights finally (and suddenly) went out, everyone jumped up and screamed like mad! Tirst song was definitely from the album Aenima, but I can't remember which song it was because I'm really bad with song names (I don't know why). Most of the songs from 10000 days were played, and few from Aenima. People were waiting for the Pot, but the didn't play. I was told the next day that they played the Pot at the Big Day Out. There were lots of head banging, singing, and smoking (tobacco and weed) as well as the usual clapping and screaming. They displayed their album art as a backdrop of the stage and there were video clips (like the ones from their music videos) that went well with their music behind the stage. They also did a fantastic laser display with rays shooting out this way and that and forming circles and other patterns.

Sophia's Birthday (Thu 25th Jan 07)
I was pretty tired due to the Tool concert but I forced myself to wake up so that I could celebrate my sister's birthday with her. Bunch of her school friends and I went to the city just to hang around. We had lunch at Pizza Hut and then went to Kareoke World to sing for 2 hours. That was okay (I don't think I like Kareoke much). Then we went to French Reviera for that gigantic ice-cream thingy instead of a birthday cake. All in all I was bored (no offence to my sister and her friends but I'm being honest here) and I basically fell asleep in the return journey home. I was jealous of the people who went to the Big Day Out that day. Tess told me sometime later that there's a possibility that Tool will come again around December sometime.

Australia Day at Jess's (Fri 26th Jan 07)
It was awesome and you know it Jess! Well, it was Greg's idea in the first place so... *gives a pat on the back on both of them*
Em, Tom, and I went to Jess's house to celebrate being an Australian. It was a fairly nice day to have a BBQ and to swim. Greg was still at home playing with his computer when we got there, and I was given the role to yell at him for not coming and cooking for us (we all know that he's a good cook... although it's only a BBQ). It took him about an hour to come (and while waiting, we played Magic) and we all headed to the back to eat and play. We also had a stero near the pool so that we could have some music! The day was all relaxing and just fooling around. I also got to see Chris's (Jess's bro) wedding photos. It looked very sweet and I loved the dress designs.

Meeting Tess (Mon 29th Jan 07)
Because we haven't seen each other for a while, we decided to meet and hang around. I finally got to see Tess's new place at Newtown (which was a much better place than the one in Redfern for obvious reasons) and I was taken to the "best coffee shop in Sydney" to have iced coffee (as it was a warm day). Her place was neat and tidy (as she was living with 2 girls) and it was close to uni and shops. We talked about things (as we do when we catch up) and had Thai for lunch. We shopped around for a bit and then said our farewells at her work (which was in Central). It was really good to see her again.

James Finally Comes Back (Fri 2nd Feb 07)
After almost 2 months I've finally got to see him again. I got to the airport at around 7:40am (as I was told that he will arrive at around 8am) and waited for him with a large teddy bear I bought from Hornsby Morning Glory and a "welcome back" balloon from the airport flower shop (which I tied it around the bear's arm so that it looked like as if the bear was holding the balloon). There were little kids in the airport looking at the bear and pointing at it as if they wanted it. I saw James's parents at around 8:10am and I waited for James with them. It literally took an hour for him to come out. His mum found him first, and I saw that he had his hair cut slightly shorter than he had before he left. He didn't see me until he did all the embracing with his parents T_T but he was both surprised and happy that I was there *^.^* I gave him the teddy and he gave a chocolate rose from Disney Land in return. All of us then waited for Karen and Rick (they got engaged some time ago) which took another 2 hours or so. Because I came and caused some inconvenience regarding to travelling back home, James and I ended up taking train back to his place (I felt really really really bad). Once we got back to his place, we sat in the lounge looking at the photos of the trip that Karen, Rick, and James took and listening to their stories. After that James and I had some time for each other alone which was good. He bought me several things from Europe including a French Beret that I asked for even before we were going out :P

Jina Comes from Korea (Sat 3rd Feb 07)
Yep, I had to some back to the airport again this time to greet my old friend from Korea. It was good to see her again, even though I had alot of trouble trying to speak to her in Korean (it was difficult because I was so out of practise).

City Tour (Mon 5th Feb 07)
I showed Jina around the Sydney CBD and to do that, we basically walked from Central to Circular Quay. I'm not going to go in detail because we all know what city looks like.

Happy Feet (Tue 6th Feb 07)
Em called to say that she was not going to dance today and I didn't feel like dancing either. So I took Jina to the movies to watch Happy Feet. I chose to watch that film because firstly it was Australia's first animated film and secondly because Jina had trouble understanding English so animated films would've been easy for her to watch and understand. The movie was good but not great. I found the baby penguins so cute!

USYD Tour (Wed 7th Feb 07)
I showed Jina around our uni and I ended up learning more about my uni than I did before. I went to the History Museum (forgot the actual name of that museum) and the War Memorial Art Museum for the first time and I finally got to look around the whole of the Main Quad (inside). It was really tiring and I was sick and tired of speaking full Korean for the last three days straight (my mouth was getting sore).

Job Training and James's Birthday (Thu 8th Feb 07)
The job training for Student Marketing Australia was held at 8:45am in Level 35 Colonial Building in Martin Place. When the door opened to level 35, I couldn't help but let a gasp of surprise and amazement. The whole level was made of shiny black marble and there were two entrances at the ends. I went through the one that said Commonwealth Bank (because that's where I was supposed to be) and I was directed to the Cedar Room which had a polished wooden door and held another surprise for me. The room was large with a long table in the middle with several comfortable chairs and the half of the room was walled with glass so you could see the whole city and the Harbour (the building was higher that most of the other building in the CBD). It was beautiful! Everyone who entered had the same expression on their faces (as it was a group interview) and we all commented on how awesome this level is and how cool it would be if we worked there. The training was pretty straight forward and I met alot of new people from different unis and faculties. I was pretty tired when I got to Central to meet James there and I gave him his birthday present in the train thinking that I would go home straight after that. But there must have been a misunderstanding because James was expecting me to hop off the train with him. After 15mins of talking to figure out what was going on, I realised that there was going to be a dinner with his family to celebrate his 20th birthday. Because it was going to be held in a restaurant, I went back home to dress into something formal than a Tool t-shirt and thongs. On my way back home, he called me again to tell me that the dinner with his family was off because his Grandmother was sick and his mother was needed so basically I didn't have to dress up for anything as James, Karen, and I were going to have dinner at Chatswood somewhere. Of course I was slightly frustrated but I got dressed anyway and met them at Chatswood and we had dinner at the Sushi Train (the same one where James and I had our "first date"). After that we walked back to his place and found his dad playing with one of the gifts that I got for him (I bought him two metal puzzles) I solved the other one (level 5) on the way back home so I wanted to fiddle around with the puzzle that James's dad was playing with (level 6, the highest) but I didn't get to much.

Picnic and Chris's Birthday (Sat 10th Feb 07)
The picnic ended yet again in success and thank you all so much for coming and enjoying the day with me! We brought enough food and drinks (well... we were slightly short of drinks *gives looks to ppl who didn't bring drinks* but we managed) and played Billionaire, Magic, and 1000 cards. Tomek and Harry baked something nice for us all and they were both delicious and healthy (well... healthier than chips anyway). Due to unexpected track work, I came later than everyone (except Katie, Jess, and Tom) and I was totally bagged out for it (I know I deserved it!). Oh yes, sorry for sounding so threatening on the email :P I really didn't mean to. People liked my beret and almost everyone tried them on :D
I met with Tom and Jess again at Chris's 21st Birthday party and James came with me. It was a pity that James didn't come to the picnic but he was busy with his vacation scholarship so fair enough. He looked nice with his new printed shirt (that he got from his parents and his sister) and the valvet jacket that he got from Italy. The party was pretty boring although it was good to see some people again - I had a good conversation with Danielle and few others. Because it was a combined birthday party with Chris's sister Jen, there were many people from my sister's grade. Few of them I encountered looked stoned or screwed but that's just my opinion. To be honest, I regret going to the party because I took a lot of effort getting there and coming back. Katie was so nice to drive James (who lives in Chatswood) and me back home even though she was not in the party at all (I couldn't think of any way else to get back home). I am seriously going to get one of those special chocolate boxes that are sold exclusively in Lindt Chocolate Cafe in Martin Place for Katie for her kindness.

Well I guess that's all for updating.

money money money... spending money

*sobs* my bank account was seriously damaged (in DnD terms, I'd say it received a critical hit) on Monday when I went to Kinokunia and Galaxy Bookshop. It has been a while since I've bought books and I went completely berserk once I've entered the bookshops. Here is the list of what I've bought:
  • Bleach vol. 16
  • Fruits Basket vol.3 (Tokyo Pop version)
  • Fruits Basket vol.4 (Tokyo Pop version)
  • The Complete Brothers Grimm
  • The Abhorsen Trilogy (box set)
I simply MUST comment about the publishers! I absolutely HATE it when they decide to change the covers of the books in the middle of a series! It happened with Abhorsen, and it has happened with the Thursday Next as well! ARRGH! And generally the new covers are horrible!

I must say, this "sick" emoticon is rather sickening to see, but it's exactly how I felt and feel today (this has been my first time ever to use this emoticon).

I guess nothing much has happened except that I went to see the Comet McNaught at Castle Hill somewhere on Monday (because on Monday and Tuesday it was at its brightest). It was not as great as what you could see through a telescope but I was happy I was there, outside, looking at a tiny speck in the sky. It has also been a while for me to look at the sun setting. It was beautiful!

My room is still a complete mess and I am still not doing so well with my new years resolution. I am still going to try my best to fullfill all five of them. So far I'm only doing well in one thing: I'm not being racist *^.^* But honestly! I really should STOP swearing!

My God, I really don't feel too good... I think I'm just going to stop writing now.

it's 2007

Jan. 7th, 2007 | 09:43 pm
location: home
mood: blah blah

Hmm... I haven't updated for a long~ time (I was lazy >.<;)

I wonder how you all are (people who actually reads this blog anyway?)
Few things happened since Jess's Birthday so I'll just quickly fill the details in:

Carols in the Domain (16th Dec 06)
A bunch of us went to the Carols in the Domain in Martin place. On the way there, I finally found the only Tiffany shop in Sydney! *.* I also finally found the Lindt shop there as well! ^.^ I'm so going back there again! Anyway... before the live show began (which was around 6pm) we played Pictionary in 3 groups of 4. I love that game! It was so fun! I was laughing my head off all through the game. We then played Bartog and then we basically ate and goofed around. Just like last year, the highlight of the night was the Wiggles (lol) with the new Yellow Wiggle on the stage for the first time (the old one left for good because he was apparently sick). Julzie, Ella and I danced to their songs like little kids :D There was also a tribute to Belinda Emmett, where one of the stars sang the same song that she sang several years ago in the Carols in the Domain (the song was One Sweet Day by BoyzIIMen and Mariah Carey).
I appologise to everyone because I was complaining alot that night.

Casino Royale (19th Dec 06)
Awesome movie! I never thought it would be that good! I actually hated the idea of a blonde James Bond but as soon as the movie started, I changed my mind. He had an awesome body and more rough than other James Bonds throughout the years. 3 hot girls + James Bond with an awesome bod! I must say, the director was very successful in attracting female viewers as well as the male viewers (which is amazing since 007 movies were basically targeting males). They've also broken the tradition of the opening songs. Opening songs of all previous 007 films were by female singers. This time, they've used a male singer (who was a lead singer for Pearl Jam and also lead singer for some other alternative rock group). The film's also more down-to-earth than other 007 films with ridiculous technologies.

Eragon (22nd Dec 06)
Eragon was pretty good (although it was completely Holiwood-ised). We (Jess, Tom, Em and I) had so much fun laughing at the corny bits and cracking DnD jokes during the film. I'm pretty sure we've annoyed several people in the cinema but meh. It was great. I'm planning to read the books to understand several things that the movie failed to explain. I've also managed to lose $20 note somewhere in the cinema which is very annoying since I owed my dad $60 for my phone bill (and I just took the money out of the atm that day). We watched the movie at Chatswood Mandarin Centre because Tom wanted to use his Hoyts voucher. Em had a bit of trouble parking so we had to watch the later show.

Christmas (25th Dec 06)
Stayed at home and it was really boring! For Christmas I got two pairs of pyjamas, a mug and a Joss Stone CD. I recieved a Christmas Greeting from James all the way from Prague though *^.^* (He called me from France about ten days ago as well). The Card reader told me that something special was going to happen this Christmas, but nothing special happened (and I think I know the reason why).

New Years Eve (31st Dec 06)
Stayed at home *sigh* I didn't want to piss my parents off by leaving to see the fireworks or to attend a NYE party (my sister attending a NYE party also did not help). It was a BAD idea because I had to BEG to turn the TV on to watch the fireworks!!! :(
Speaking of fireworks... I was slightly confused about the theme that night because I've heard that the theme was supposed to be The Wizard of Oz, but it didn't look anything like it. I've learnt that there were actually two themes the next day. The other theme was Diamond Anniversary to celebrate the bridge's 75th anniversary (hence the night was called A Diamond Night in the Emerald City. Apparently the bridge was lit with emerald green light to make Sydney look like the Emerald City from the Wizard of Oz at about 9pm and Dorothy's ruby slippers appeared on the bridge. Then the theme changed for the midnight (I saw that one over the TV) where a huge question mark appeared on the bridge and then several lines joined to make a coat hanger (apparently the coat-hanger was the nickname of the bridge builder or the bridge itself) and a diamond appeared inside the coat hanger to symbolise the anniversary.

Pizza at Chatswood (2nd Jan 07)

Em, Jess, Tom and I went to Chatswood to have "real" pizza. The pizza was pretty awesome there and I had a great time eating and talking with them

Farewell Party (3rd Jan 07)
We all know that Chris has now gone to Canberra to work for the Bureau of Statistics. Amanda organised a (last minute since I was only informed on the day :P) farewell party for him. We had cheap and delicious pasta from Mamma's Kitchen in Liverpool St and then had gigantic ice-cream from French Reviera. Many of us sat with a huge glass of ice-cream discussing the matters related to metaphysics. It was fun and enlightening ^_^

Treasure Hunt (4th Jan 07)
Em and I arrived at the Manly Wharf around 11am dressed as a pirate. Paul being Paul decided to prepare a treasure hunt for us. It was pretty fun until near the end. In the beginning, I was teamed up with Malvin and Vic and we decided to call our Ship The Wang of Destiny and the crew to be The Se(a)men of The Wang of Destiny. I, being the only female, became the Captain (lol). I nearly had to say something ridiculous to the guy who was guarding the lockers: "I am the Captain of the Wang of Destiny and these are my se(a)men. Hand me the Hat of Captain *bleep* (forgot his name) or I'll release my se(a)men unto you!" Malvin and Vic absolutely LOVED the idea and we made heaps of jokes regarding to our chosen names of the ship and our crew :P
Things started to go badly when we had to walk from Manly Wharf to some other beach more than an hour away. According to the plan, we were supposed to take a bus but all of us decided not to go to the information centre for some reason or another so we ended up walking under the scorching sun using a dodgy hand-drawn map.
After the walk, we had a brief lunch-break and then started another journey to find the treasure. Our ultimate goal was to find a pearl. Near the end of our journey (after so much walking over rocks and bushes, and swimming/wading through salt water) all of us became frantic, digging an area of about 4-5m in diameter. Somebody seriously should have taken a photo of us frantically digging. Now that I think of it, it would've been hilarious just to be there and watching instead of digging like everyone else. I am sorta proud to say that I was the one to find the box hidden deep in the sand ^.^;; There was a slight struggle between Pat, Vic and I for the box (even though I was the one who found it and Vic was in my team anyway!!!) but in the end, I was allowed to open it. There was a fake rubber skull and a 50ml bottle of Brandy(?). It contained 46.5% alcohol and because I found it first, I was encouraged to skull just as what we thought the instruction with the bottle told us to. Alas! That was not what I was supposed to do for I was supposed to look up while drinking bottoms up! I ended up skulling the liquid with closed eyes. Paul actually had to tell us to make all of us to look up and see the "pearl" (a black ball actually). Our team got the pearl anyway and our team won. But since I wasn't really good with liquor, I became quickly dizzy and blanked out for a while. Daniel was there for me (thanks honey). Things weren't so great afterwards because I was basically not myself for the rest of the day.

Anyway, that's all the news so far.

Oh I made a myspace today for no special reason :P Go and visit it if you want

jess's birthday

Dec. 16th, 2006 | 10:44 am
location: home
mood: cheerful cheerful

Yes it was on lastnight.

The party was good. There were several people who I haven't seen for a long time and it was good to see them again!

Tom picked me up with slight difficulty because I had forgotten to tell him that the bridge (which is an important part of the only path that many people knows how to get to my place) was closed. I had give him instructions from Hornsby RSL.

Tom and I arrived there 7:05pm and decided that we'll bring out our present later on when Em, James, and Julzie arrives. I met Tim for the first time there and he was a very nice bloke. Jen was there too and we said hi. People started arriving and we were soon chattering away. I met Jess's workmate Ness (short for Venessa I'm sure) and her boyfriend Jeff (or is it spelt Geoff?). They were very nice people and had awesome personalities :D

Presents were opened and we got our hugs and thanks from Jess :D Then we ate food. It took Jess a while to decide to play our present: Harry Potter Scene it. It was alright, but as Tom's friend said (the day before the party), it was not as good. The questions were just too easy (except for the yellow question card and shuffling letters to get a Character's name).

I had a couple of shampaigne which when I came back home I realised it was a bad idea because I threw up in the middle of the night. Call it my first hangover.

Well that was lastnight.

Tonight, I'm off to the Carols in the Domain with my friends (YAY). I'll have to make sure that I get Em's present ready. I still don't know what else to get her just yet.

Hmm... there was something else that I had to do today but I can't remember.

handel's messiah

Dec. 15th, 2006 | 11:53 am

mood: busy busy

Wow! I like this new LJ (but then, I like my new blogspot beta too).

It is very grey outside just like how I feel right now. Haven't been feeling too happy lately because of some incident that happened few days ago. But that's not what I'm going to write about in my LJ.

Last night, I went to see/hear Handel's Messiah at townhall because Katie was singing in the choir. I enjoyed it, and I would've enjoyed it more if it wasn't for a splitting headache that I had during the whole performance. I suppose feeling blue didn't really help much either. Man! I hate being so emotional sometimes that I want to kill myself! (heh that sounded so emo just then!)

I have a lot to do I guess. I have heaps of Christmas cards to write, and I also have to make several thank-you cards for people who gave me such a wonderful birthday present asap :D
I also have to organise Christams/Birthday presents for few people as well. *Sigh* my bank account is so empty. I need a job :P

Damn! I also have to clean my room at some stage! It is a mess!

Guess I should head off and do them now :)

another update from me...

Dec. 10th, 2006 | 08:59 pm
location: home
mood: lonely lonely

Yeah... I meant to update regularly but I guess I was just too lazy... :D

Saturday 2nd December
Spent the whole day at James' place because we couldn't see each other after that (he went off to Europe on Monday). We then went to watch The Prestige with Katie and her friends. The film was great (although I had a huge headache while watching it) and I absolutely admire Christian Bale and Scarlett Johansson.

Monday 4th December
Started my new job as an annoying advertiser in BP petrol station. It was horrible! Worked for more than 8hrs and because I was paid by comission, I only earned so little for that amount of hours. I managed to talk to James just before he boarded on the plane. I missed him already and I was feeling absolutely down that day.

Tuesday 5th December
After work, went to the dance academy with Em. I learnt that day that last week we were in the wrong class. Instead of being in a funk class, we were in a jazz class! So this time, we decided to go to the right class. Must comment! The teacher was absolutely crap! He was really horrible in teaching wise. I must admit though, I was really in a crappy mood. I was throwing fits and Em was having trouble trying to calm me down. I regret saying anything bitchy that day!
When I came back, my Aunt and Uncle visited us with their friends all the way from Korea. It was so good to see them (I actually like them). Their friends thought I was quite pretty and told me that I should get married soon (lol). How very Korean! But it was nice to be called pretty *^.^* (if only I was). Uncle gave my sister and I $100US each. It was pretty interesting to see $100US note again. It was no way better than $100AU note in looks.

Wednesday 6th December
Mutual agreement to end our contract between the employer(?) (since I was technically Self Employed) and I. For me, the pay was just too crappy and the work condition was horrible. It was also terribly stressful which didn't help the situation what so ever. For them, I was just not enthusiastic enough. Meh. Like I can be ethusiastic about selling something that even I don't think it's worth advertising!
To cheer up (because it still felt awfully like being fired) I called up Em and she was there with me for lunch in the Hornsby shopping mall.

Thursday 7th December
Went to Cronulla Beach with Sabrina. It was one of the most crappiest beach ever! I really should take Sabrina out to Manly one day and show how awesome that is! I was slightly worried to go there because of the riot that happened some time ago, but luckily(?) there were police patrolling the area every hour or two. It was good to talk to Sabrina again and hear some gossip (lol) as per usual.

Friday 8th December
Boxes that my mum sent while she was in Korea arrived in the morning! One of the boxes was filled with Korean manga that my mum bought for me! I started reading them as soon as everything else was opened! I finished reading Rose of Versailles (6 volumes) and The Palace (12 volumes) in one day.

Well...That's all for me right now... nothing interesting has happened so far except that I've heard from James a few times via email and I got my results back (which was marginally better than last semester). I miss him heaps *sigh* and it hasn't even been a week.

Oh yeah. Today, I helped my dad painting our veranda outside. It was a hard job to do and I burnt my neck doing it :P

early christmas

Dec. 1st, 2006 | 09:06 pm
location: home
mood: good good

Since James will be leaving on the coming Monday, I decided to take him out on a dinner to Blu Grill last night (the very place where Tom had his awesome birthday party). Things obviously didn't go the way I have planned (when did they ever? *rolls eyes*).

My plan: PAY for the whole dinner and make him feel as special as possible.

In the end, he forced me to let him (does this even make sense?) pay half of what we ate *sigh* (NOT HAPPY JAMES!)
I wasn't trying to pay you back for all the outings. It honestly was a part of my gift -_-+

The dinner was nice though :D and he looked nice *^.^* (he's always gorgeous). He really liked the early christmas gift that I got for him (I'm not going to say what they were). He thought I was too generous and I really wish he didn't think that. I wanted to give something that he would really like and I was lucky that I sort of did. Who cares about the price?

Btw, I wore the dress from the Tree of Life that I recieved on my birthday from Jess, Tom, James and Julz. Thanks guys! It looked lovely on me :D It was very comfortable too :D

Oh yes, I'm sorry James (if you are reading this) about the trains last night. I honestly thought they were still operating till 12am until I found out (before I went to bed) that there were F's right next to the times after 11:30pm on the train time table which meant that they only operate during those times on Friday nights ONLY. Sorry sorry and sorry T_T!!!

quick update

Nov. 30th, 2006 | 02:53 pm
location: home
mood: content content

Exams are over and I am resting all this week before I start working from Monday... yes I got a job now!
Hmm... so much has happened since the end of the exams. I had a birthday party, went to James' boat, celebrated our 1 month, went out to see two movies, went to Dee Why, attended power club day, had my first funk lesson with Em, and stayed with James last night. Oh! And of course I went through two interviews and two try outs, got two jobs, and then quitted one :P

Here are the brief outlines of events:

Birthday Party (17th Nov)
It was great! I spent more than $80 on three cakes and enough people came to enjoy the day with me. I felt so loved with so many people coming and recieving gifts from them (I'm such a child!). Everything I recieved that day happened to be the things I really liked! I got a pretty dress from the Tree of Life from Jess, Tom, James and Julz. I recieved pink pyjamas, Kiki's Delivery Service DVD, and a huge hard-cover book on the Art of Kiki's Delivery Service from Katie, Josh, Ariella, Tony, Greg, Joel, and Emma. I also recieved the Karma Set from Paul, Kiri, and Xander (I was pleasantly surprised to know that they knew my taste - this was definitely NOT on my birthday wishlist).
After eating and playing games in the park, the rest of us went to the Pizza Hut for dinner and then went to the Star Bar to dance our nights away. We left the bar about 1:30am. James and I arrived at his place about 2:30am (I was staying at his place for the night). We hardly slept that night and we were seriously dead tired the next morning.

Boat outing (18th Nov)
James' whole family (including Rick - Karen's boyfriend) was planning to go out on their boat (called the "Moonlight Mist") and we decided that we'll tag along with them. It was a very nice day - sunny but not too hot. We boarded on Pitt Water and sailed near a quiet beach somewhere. We had a nice greek lunch (just like the ones we had on Manly several weeks ago) on the boat and then James and I went to the beach just to relax and try to get some sleep (which did not happen).

1 Month at Wynyard (20th Nov)
We celebrated our 1 month of going out in a very nice/chic Japanese restaurant in Wynyard. Because James was rather busy that day, we could only spend time having lunch together. It was still nice :D He greeted me with a red rose (I'm such a sucker for roses!) and I gave him a small spiral glass bottle filled with origami stars and heron's eggs. The food in the restaurant was nice especially the sashimi -  they were very fresh and soft. We had two glasses of Tsunami with our food -  I must say they really do go well!

Little Miss Sunshine (21st Nov)
We actually planned to watch Borat but we realised that it was coming out on Thursday. So I made him watch Little Miss Sunshine with me in the Mandarin Centre. The movie was great and the seats were completely dodgy (they didn't allow the arms of the seats to move). I really enjoyed watching that movie. The humour was similar to that of Thank you for Smoking and Napoleon Dynamite.

Borat (24th Nov)
Because James was dying to watch that movie, I ended up going with him. It was funny I guess (but definitely not the type of humour I like) but most of the time I found it stupid and a waste of money. Meh. As long as James enjoyed it (he already knows that I didn't like it very much even though I laughed alot).

Dee Why (25th Nov)
The weather was nice and we travelled all the way to Dee Why to enjoy some time together. It was quite windy but otherwise, it was pretty hot. James was so worried about burning his skin (lol) and was very precautious about everything. I was forced to put on Sun Screen Lotion (I usually don't becuase I hate the texture and the smell of it) - it ended up being a very good idea anyway because I was slightly burnt when I came back. We had burgers and chips from a near-by store for a late lunch. I haven't had a normal/real burger for a long time so I enjoyed every mouthful of it :D All that was missing was Cherry Coke ("How very American" said James).

Power Club Day (26th Nov)
Met with Sophia's friend Rosalie and her boyfriend Mark. They were really nice and funny. We played heaps of DDR, Drum Mania, and Bishi Bashi (I absolutely adore that game). Later that day we also met up with Soph's and Mark's friend Derza. He was pretty darn sarcastic (in a good way) and had awesome ringtones and themes on his mobile!

Funk Lesson (28th Nov)
Met with Em about 3pm (after finishing a trial work at a local Kebab store) and shopped for several things like a nice top for my second interview with United Advertising (I bought it from CUE in the end with help from Em). We were slightly late for the lesson but that was okay since we only missed a little bit of warming up before starting. The warming up was great (even though it was slightly painful) and our teacher was none other than Raymond Domingo who was the choreographer for Australian Idol. He was so proudly gay that it was quite funny (in a good way of course). There were several guys in our class and most of them (if not all of them) were gay. They were really good at dancing too I must say! The dance was pretty funny and I felt slightly foolish doing the moves (which went with the words "I dig you, you dig me" and "hey momma" etc) but all in all Em and I enjoyed it!

Just a few brief note about my job hunting: There were two positions that I went for - casual Kebab making chick and casual(?) advertising person. There was no interview needed for working in the Kebab store and I basically learnt and worked on the trial day. I was sick of it already (I really didn't know working at a fast food store was that bad!). The interviews that went through were all from the United Advertising and after a "trial" (it wasn't really a trial. It was more like "getting to know you" sort of thing). I got the job! Because United Advertising needed me basically 5-6 days per week, I decided to quit Kebab job (because I really enjoyed advertising thing better and they gave me better deals and better opportunities). I'm so happy and excited about it! *^.^*

tom's birthday party

Nov. 4th, 2006 | 07:26 pm
location: home
mood: busy busy

Before writing anything about last night...

ARRGH!!! I"M SOOOOO DEAD!!! T_T
I'm only up to tutorial 5 (and there are 7 more to go!) *stresses*

Okay. I'm done. I needed to get it out somehow... (These days, I'm pretty good at controlling my stresses)
I'm still glad that I went to Tom's party yesterday and I'm glad that I'm having a short break from work right now.

Tom's party was excellent! I swear! I never knew there was a nice, classy restaurant in Hornsby but there it was, very clost to the fountain and all! I'm so going back there (Blu Grill) again some time.

I got there at around 7:10pm (just to be fashionably late *^.^*) and many people were already there! I was told by many people that I looked gorgeous (yay!) and I took place next to my darling Emma (after giving a hug to Tommy and saying greetings to people, i.e. Jess, Em, James, Julzie, Jenny, and Tomek) *^.^* Emma looked gorgeous as per usual in purple, Jess looked lovely with her semi curled hair :P, and I liked what Julzie was wearing (red polka dotted one-piece if I recall).

It was funny to see that the top half of the table was filled with people from Club Mac and the bottom half was filled with people from Highschool. There was this guy who looked like Alistair Oxley from a short glimpse and I almost said, "Hi Alistair!" but stopped at the right time. Apparently, Em and James nearly did that as well :P His name was Sam, not Alistair (I learnt that by going over and talking to them later that night).

Several minutes later, Hayley came and sat next to me. It was good to see her (even though I've seen her before like a month ago). She looked better than she was in high school (but then again, most of us look better than when we were at high school). I chatted with her a bit until I saw Maddie and Owen arrive! Maddie looked fantastic! She had lost some weight and she had highlights on her hair! I swear, she's doing so well now that she's not with Chris! (I still love you Chris! Just saying that you could've treated her better...honestly). Owen was a great guy: very nice, cool, and flirty(=fun)! I'm so glad that Maddie's happy with him.

I went over to the other side and stole Tom's seat to talk to some Club Mac guys. There was this asian dude called Jason, and there was Scott and Sam. All of us talked about Stephen Hawking for a bit (I don't know why... it just came about) and laughed as I attempted to answer some loaded questions from Jason. Tom stole my seat meanwhile and drank some of my Appletiser! (Not that I mind at all :P).

The food that we ordered were not very cheap, but enjoyable (as they are usually). I had lamb (which cost about $27.80), wedges ($6.50), 2 lemon and lime bitters, and an Appletiser ($3.50 each). There were several people being cheap and getting Fish and Chips or in James' case, a Caesar Salad with Chicken (lol... you know I'm teasing!) I must say, the Caesar Salad with Chicken looked really nice. I think I might go and try some myself next time I go there.

Emma and Jess used our left-over money (from our group present which will be ready in a weeks time hopefully) to order a surprise birthday cake for Tom :D It was great to have one of the waiters to bring the chocolate mud cake with spark-candles(?) and sing happy birthday loudly with us! It was so much fun! The cake was delicious and it was fun to have a small fight over Maddie's cake (coz she didn't want any) with James and Greg (although, Greg was pretty pissed off afterwards)...*sigh*

I couldn't emphasise more. The night was great Tom! If there was anything missing, anti-James was not there. Oh well.

Back to work now *sigh*

Friday and Saturday

Oct. 29th, 2006 | 10:39 am
location: home
mood: adored adored

They were awesome!

On Saturday, James and I went to Manly beach for a picnic. The day was not the nicest, but was nice enough :D

He brought the food and I bought the drinks at Manly Coles. The food was great! Simple, tasty, and Greek (George would've loved that!). It involved: a large bread roll, salami, olives, cheese, pickled onions, and this weird stuff wrapped in grape leaves (I don't know what they are and I didn't like them as much... it had a very strange taste). We also had turkish delights for desert *^.^* After all that eating, we just hung around "relaxing" (lol). We basically stayed there until 5 or 6-ish and then headed off to Max Brenners for some chocolates, and then went back to Circular Quay by the ferry. While on the ferry, there were few Korean girls looking at us weirdly (one of them said nasty things in Korean, thinking that I wouldn't understand them) -_-+ (I swear to God, I dispise asians! If you want to say something to me, say it to my face in English so everyone can hear! What losers!) I was slightly irritated but that didn't stop me from holding and/or kissing James so HA!

I met James' good mate, Matt at Circular Quay. Apparently he worked there at some Law firm. He was really nice, friendly, and outgoing! They were planning a trip to Europe together for this coming holidays since last year. We talked for a while and then left to James' place for dinner (his parents were away on "the boat" - their yacht in Pitt Water - again). He made pizza for us! It tasted so good! I love guys who can cook! (Probably because I can't... but I'm so going to learn this coming holidays!) I stayed at his place until my mum called up (grrr) and told me to come home asap because it's late *sigh*.

On Sunday, I met up with James again afer he finished tutoring someone in Turramurra. Went to his place to talk/play a bit and then we went to have dinner at the same old Sushi Train where we first spent time together alone (and started to be interested in each other). He didn't let me pay for our food again! I'll get you for that! We still had some time to go back to his place (because it was warmer than outside) and have warm KrispyKreme doughnuts :D

AGM yesterday

Oct. 27th, 2006 | 10:11 am
location: uni library
mood: cheerful cheerful

One word to describe it: LOL (is that a word actually?)

It was hilarious! I've never screwed up a speech like that in my life! (Or have I?)

The outcome was excellent: I didn't get any position and I'm really glad of it. There are several reasons as to why and here they are:

1. To be an exec, you have to be a Union Member next year, i.e. pay VSU fees. I didn't plan to pay and I don't want to pay VSU (it's so not worth it).

2. I don't think I was commited enough to come to meetings every week (I really don't like the idea of meeting once a week! I swear it is not necessary).

3. I'm not really comfortable around SUAnime people no matter how much I try (it's quite obvious as to the reasons why if you know me well enough)

I admit, however, that I didn't screw up intentionally. I was pissed off with the way I gave my "speech". Luckily for me, things turned out the way I wanted it.

Oh yeah, if people are curious as to why I turned up to the AGM in the first place... well... I started not wanting to be an exec just recently (as in several weeks) and before that, I was all pumped up for it (and making a great deal out of it). My pride wouldn't let me back down. Stupid pride!

Oh well :D I'm happy!

Can't wait till I see James today!

heh... taken again

Got a call from James last night...

While talking about several things, we decided to settle everything (lol)
It was very simple and pretty funny since we were already un-officially "going out" for more than a week.

It's now official since yesterday. Yep we're couples.

I just find that funny *^.^*

brief stuff regarding saturday

Oct. 16th, 2006 | 11:25 am
location: home
mood: loved loved

Saturday was great! *^.^*
Mum bought me a very pretty dress for the occasion just because she didn't like the blue one that I was wearing, and I felt so... pretty (lol). James was a sweet-heart all day that day! Before going to the concert, we walked around the harbour and got on a Carousel just for the sake of being childish again! It was so nice!

The concert was quite disappointing because we didn't really get the money's worth -  the performer couldn't come that night so someone else had to play (who only had a day to practice all those pieces). I must say, he did a superb job and I loved his cheeky way of playing the instrument.

After the concert, James and I went to the restaurant in the building that Julzie and I went to before the last Piano Stories concert. It was classy and quite expensive, with a beautiful view and seating arrangements. We had the outdoor seating overlooking the Harbour bridge. The food that we ordered was delicious and we had fun talking and tasting each other's food :P

Ended up coming home at about 2:30am, but it was all worth it.

procrastination

mood: crushed crushed

Really should do some work since I have 3 assignments due next week and I haven't started any of them... ~_~;

Job interview today was alright I guess, but it wasn't as good as I wanted it to be... *sigh* I really wish I have had some retail experience :( Dammit! I really want that job! It's Australian Geographic for heavens sake! One of my favourite shops! *sobs*

Not being able to go to Manly today also doesn't help in improving my mood (James offered me a room in a hotel next to his for tonight in Manly - he's been there for three days because of ITER conference).

Note to self: apply for the bakery job that the girl whom I met in the train to Woy Woy told me about, as well as the telemarketing job and the cinemas (yes, I'm getting rather desperate here). Also send my physics notes to Trudy asap next week (yay! gonna get paid a lump sum of money soon-ish from the note taking job!)

I suppose my mum buying me a pair of nice pants from Jeans West makes me slightly feel better (but that required me to discard the pair of pants from Cotton On because that was what the deal was). The thought of getting another pair of pants next week from Sportsgirl as well as going to the Piano Stories IV tomorrow cheers me up too.
